About Us: A brief video about us here at
LumberJack Log Homes.
Logs Used: Because not all log
species are created equal, all of our log home log packages are produced from
naturally cured
Lodgepole Pine, known as the "premium" house log in this region.
Lodgepole Pine tends to grow long and straight, with a tight grain.
This gives your log home the best balance of strength and
workability. We
offer log materials from 7 to 12 inches in diameter and up to 30 feet in
length. We use only select, naturally cured, dead-standing wood with
a moisture content that is generally less than 18%.
Each
log home kit includes: Swedish Cope-Style Milled
Logs with Saddle Notched Corners: A cope (arc) is cut into the
full length of each log so that it will nest on top of the log
below. This creates a strong weight-bearing surface along the entire
length of the log, not just at the ends.
Custom Options for
log home kits: Beyond the beautiful log packages
showcased here, We also offer custom log staircases,
Round log trusses, Square beam trusses, log railing for porches and decorative logs for those creative touches that
make your home special. We are also pleased to introduce several
lines of Log Siding. There are many different styles and
options available, so please contact
us if you are interested in our log siding. It’s these custom touches that will help you
have one of the country's best log
homes.
